using myTsafe

Just a few simple steps.
Choose from the variety of options, complete your details and create a username and passwords. There is a security question in case you forget your passwords; set one to which you will always know the answer!
Login button at top right of each page of website. Two
stages for security: 'username' and 'password' and new page
'memorable'.
Change in Manage Account / Security Settings
Used for special promotions and subscription extensions. Given out for example by travel agents or partners of myTsafe.
When logged in, press 'Extend Subscription' button (at top left on each page of your account). The subscription will always be extended from the date your current subscription expires (shown at top right). So any time for which you have already paid will not be lost. Voucher codes also apply to subscription extensions.

- tips for first time users
Arrange folders('categories'). We provide default names. Go to Manage Account tab, then Categories to edit them and add more. Folders are displayed alphabetically - nominate the one with which your myTsafe account will always open.
Auto log out timer - at top left of each page in your account. Shows how long until automatically logged out if account not actively used - i.e. if no keys pressed. Change in Manage Account/Security Settings - last item at bottom of page. Default is 5 minutes.
Passwords. Change using Manage Account/Security settings. A good idea to change passwords from time to time.
Your email address. Remember all notifications (sharing, e-post & review reminders) go to the email address given here - so keep it up to date. Change via Manage Account/Account details.
Add almost any type of electronic document. Scan paper documents e.g. passport and then upload to your account.
Select folder in which you want to place document(s), press 'Add' button & select item(s) from browse window that opens. Add notes if you wish.
Even give the item a different name whilst keeping the name/number that it originally had. Very useful e.g. for insurance policies known by a number but you want to store as 'house insurance'.
Add a review date, to remind you e.g. that club membership or insurance needs renewing. myTsafe will automatically send an email on the date you set.
Select item (radio button at left of item) and 'Open Item'. Opens either in the browser or you have to download it – depending on document, image, etc. Recommendation: If have to download, place item on desk top. Then easy to find and easy to delete from the computer after you have finished with it!
Select the item (radio button at left of item), enter username of account with which to share (ask them for it!), decide how long you want to share - default is 7 days and press 'Share'.
Tab 'Documents of Others' for what others have shared with you.
Tab 'Manage Sharing' for what you have shared with others. See also alongside each item in column 'shared'.
You only need the recipient's myTsafe username to post an item(s) to their account.
Fill in your own name where shown so recipient knows who has posted the item. Also your email address so you receive confirmation of e-posting. Ultra secure and can cope with large items.
