Secure sharing


Share any document with anybody else who has a myTsafe account.

 


Shared documents can only be seen by those with whom you share by logging into their own myTsafe account.
 
They receive a notification of the sharing by email but there is no link to the document itself.
 
They cannot see into or have any access to your myTsafe account.

   myTsafe sharing is especially useful for:
  • Families who have information that different members might need at anytime, possibly miles away from their home or office such as key addresses, insurance details, medical information etc.
  • Business people who need to share personal information from time to time e.g. medical information on a business trip, so that their colleagues can help in an emergency. Or confidential business data which they do no want anybody to carry on a laptop, in a memory stick or as a paper file!
  • Students - share treasured photos, mementos, important information etc with friends and family.  Even share your work with your tutor.
  • Travellers in general & ‘Gappers’– keep people at home securely informed about your activities, your itinerary, your contact addresses.  Invaluable for those on Gap Years travelling to far away places. Also share those favourite photos! 
How it works

For the person doing the sharing, myTsafe knows that the document  may be seen by another defined person (or persons) through their myTsafe account. To share:
  • Select the document/item in your myTsafe account that you want to share,
  • Enter the account username with which documents are to be shared - you will need to be given it by the owner of the other account,
  • Decide for how long to share – can be permanent.
  • You can see against each document if shared with anybody else.
  • Under ‘Manage Sharing’ you can see all the people with whom items have been shared and the particular items which have been shared with each person.
  • You can always change how long an item is to be shared or withdraw sharing altogether. 
  • You will receive an email 2 days before sharing is due to expire.
The person with whom a document is shared:
  • Will receive an email telling them what has been shared with them, by whom, when the sharing started and when it is due to expire. 
  • The email does not carry any direct link to the document or item shared. Must open their own myTsafe account to see the item(s) shared with them; they are held under the tab ‘Documents of Others’. 
  • At no time can they see into the sharer’s myTsafe account.
Note: Emails sent to the ‘sharer’ or recipient will be sent from ‘notification@mytsafe.com’ – make sure they are not blocked by any firewalls or anti-SPAM programs.
